He knew he shouldn’t have done it. Just the way it made him feel, bad, guilty,
confused, he knew it was wrong so why did he do it. What’s done is done; he walked on the field
and played. At half time his coach was praising him, should he tell?

TED talk The Puzzle of Motivation
The TED talk “The Puzzle of Motivation” by Daniel Pink it
presents the case of how carrots and sticks, if then rewards, don’t work enough
of the time to base a society on it. Daniel Pink starts the talk off by telling
the listener to act as if this is a case, and to listen to the facts. The speaking technique of telling the
listener to look as it from a different perspective is intrigue to the
listener, causing them to want to know why. Throughout the talk he only spoke
in true facts, not in stories, he got very excited about what he was saying,
making the listener want to hear why he was so enthusiastic. Pink presented
facts supporting the idea that people do worse when offered a reward, when
people work with the ROWE (Results Only Work Environment) where they work when
they want if they want as long as they have a product. If we could bring this
system to the rest of society in the United States we can get past Carrot and
Stick, fix our businesses, and we can change the world.
TED talk School Kills Creativity
In the TED talk “School Kills Creativity” given by Ken
Robinson presenting the idea that the human imagination is a gift and we need
to use it wisely. Ken did an amazing job
of linking his points all together to show the listener how he got to the conclusion
that he did. He did this by telling stories, stating facts and giving personal
experiences. The point was made that in today’s society we are teaching kids
that mistakes are the worst possible thing, and we are growing them out of
creativity. This is so easily represented in so many societies for instance, in
todays public schools you will see that the Arts are the lease regarded course,
we are truly growing children out of their creativity so that they can be just
like everyone else and become “University Professors” and live inside their
head. Creativity is the process of
having original ideas, and we are losing that quality in coming
generations
TED talk If I had a Daughter
In the TED talk “If I Had a Daughter” by Sarah Kay she talks

throughout her talk, he tells lots of stories that cause the listener to want
to listen along with explaining how she teaches others. She moves around on the
stage causing her to look interesting to the eye, along with making hand
jesters allowing you to visualize exactly what she’s talking about. During the
stories that she told she really emphasized how your never really alone, all
you have to do it put your self out there. You going to get some bad stuff but
that’s what makes you recognize that what you have is just so special.

Ted Talk Power of Vulnerability
After watching TED talk “The Power of Vulnerability” by speaker Brene Brown it put a real perspective on how the human brain and heart are so complicated, and how “ the ability to feel connected is the reason why we are here.” Everything in this world connects to another thing. The way she spoke made you really want to listen, because she started out by telling a story that was funny and light. The way she presented structure was very clever, it let you think and come to the conclusion on your own. She taught the audience about the mater instead of just telling the audience. The topic was very detailed but at such a wide spectrum that it could be applied to may different scenarios, such as how to be able to help others or how to understand and solve a problem. Personally I found it very interesting because it talked about how the human brain perceives different aspects of life. In my life I try to make the people around me as comfortable as possible, so being able to understand how others perceive problems can help me to help them.
