TED Talk Once Upon a School

In the ted talk “Once Upon a School” by Dave Eggers he exposes the problem that he notices in his society, children are unable to receive extra help because the ration of students to teacher was to high. To fix this problem he, being a writer, gets some of his colleges together to help children after school get help by professional writers. He explained how the business came to be, sharing the ups and downs. Dave also shared stories, some of them funny, about how the front of the business became a pirate shop. Through out the talk he said the word “um” so much that it caused the listener stop focusing on the topic but more on how many times he said um. He also continuously was fidgeting with his hands, distracting the audience. The thing that matters in his TED talk was that he made a difference in the world because he made a connection that could help better kids lives.
